Dartmoor National Park

Dartmoor National Park offers a mystic and fairy-like atmosphere full of wilderness unlike any other parts of Devon. Feel a deep sense of freedom surrounded by its granite hills called tors, bogs, swaths, and colored moors that have been used as settings of Steven Spielberg’s WWI War Horse film or Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Hound of the Baskervilles. Its idyllic scenery is enjoyed by wild ponies and grazing sheep that either with the sunny or mist landscapes, make a perfect view for your next photoshoot.

Not to be missed are its abundant menhirs (standing stones), stone circles, kistvaens (burial tombs), cairns (man-made pile of stones) and stone rows. Activities that can be done will have a unique scenery and include walking, hiking, cycling, white-water sports or climbing.
